SHAKESPEARE'S GLOBE

Capturing
the Magic of
shakespeare’s Globe

Shakespeare’s Globe is an iconic London destination, celebrated for its immersive theatrical experiences and rich historical significance. Since Summer 2024, Farelight Productions has partnered with the Globe to provide high-impact videography and photography, capturing the electric atmosphere of performances and audience reactions. Our work has played a key role in their marketing campaigns, engaging audiences across social media and promotional materials.

Shakespeare’s Globe approached us to translate the vibrant energy of live performances into compelling visual content. Drawing from our experience capturing music festivals and audience interactions, we were trusted to create stunning visuals that highlight the magic of the venue.

Our work has been instrumental in building anticipation for upcoming seasons, with key stills and footage featuring prominently in theatre announcements, social campaigns, and promotional materials. Our summer footage played a crucial role in the 2025 season announcement trailer, driving engagement and excitement among theatre-goers.

PROJECT FOCUS

Festive Winter Marketing Campaign

Building on the success of our summer collaboration, Shakespeare’s Globe brought us on to create a festive winter campaign that would position the theatre as a magical seasonal destination. The brief was to capture the venue’s charm beyond the stage—its historic architecture, welcoming atmosphere, and unique visitor experiences, from the shop to tucked-away corners rich with history.

Working with a mix of volunteer and paid models, including a young family, we produced a cinematic video and a bank of evergreen stills designed to show the wonder of the Globe in winter through the eyes of its visitors.

With a live performance taking place during filming, we had to remain flexible—adapting our plans in real time to accommodate both the models and the busy, working venue.

The final visuals will be used as a long-term asset for the Globe’s Christmas marketing, with a full rollout planned for the 2025 festive season. The client was thrilled with the results, which beautifully capture the warmth and magic of the theatre in winter.

We worked with Farelight Productions to capture some new photography and digital content showcasing the magic of the Globe Theatre and the unique audience experience in that space. Lucas and Leora have been wonderful to work with, going over and above to achieve what was needed. Farelight have helped us to breathe new life and energy into our marketing assets and communicate a unique and transformative experience to our audiences.
