A Long Game: The Story of Slamboree

After 7 years of filming and touring with the notorious Slamboree family Farelight productions presents ” A Long Game : The Story of Slamboree “. A glimpse into the trials of touring a band with large roster of musicians and performers and arduous creative process of recording and releasing a long-awaited debut album. Farelight was on tour with the band filming their shows, adventure and Antics, capturing pivotal moments.

“Leora and Lucas started filming for us and capturing bits here and there before even i joined the band in 2012. They’ve filmed gigs and bits and bobs we have forgotten about over the years and then some. They’ve really gone to town on it and captured the essence and evolution of the band over the years. Going from the different performers we’ve had in, to the evolution of the music and the good times the bad times. To be honest, I can’t wait to see all of it in all its glory.”-Kathika Rabbit, Abi Lewis Nitelife

The Documentary caught the attention of BBC Music Introducing and was hosted on iplayer on its initial release. Along side that we also attended the premiere of the documentary on the 23rd of November 2018. Where we were able to see the reactions and comments of the band members and others that have been with the band since its beginning.

“After capturing hundreds of hours of footage across seven years, this doc has managed to encapsulate some of the most glamorous moments on stage alongside some of the more genuine glimpses of the preforms lives backstage”- Abi Lewis, Nitelife

This documentary took us to all corners of the country, visiting city after city. Every night we were able to get glimpse at the process each member goes through for a show. With so many characters on the roster this documentary aims to shine a spotlight at the entity that is Slamboree and provide a clear vision of how this huge band aimed to release their first album.

Lucas & Leora met through filming Slamboree and the band has been a part of our lives for since Farelight’s formative years. Producing this documentary was a testament to how far we and the band have come in that time.
